Sada kar Shukur!

My dear brothers & sisters.  When I got up today I heard a sentence of Saamiji in my heart -

Sada kar shukur Saami Chaahey mile halwa chaahey suko tukur

Be grateful to God whether u get Halwa puri or dry roti.If we do this we will be always happy. Hence Saamiji says Sada -- means ALWAYS not just 23 hrs a day all 24 hrs a day. Even if u don't be grateful for even a moment then you have failed.

We should always be grateful to God because God knows what is the very best for me. A lady met me. She was crying. I asked her the reason for her crying. She said that I was married happily for 20 yrs. He would call me at 3.45pm and she would make tea for him and we would have tea together. One day he called his wife at 3.45pm and his wife made the tea. She kept waiting but he did not come till 4.30pm. She called up his office and they told her that just before leaving for home, he got a heart attack and on way to hospital he passed away. Our lives are so very uncertain and we don't even know what is going to happen in the next moment.

God is ALL knowing and knows what is Best for me. That is the foundation for faith in God.  On one occassion Sadhu Vaswani taught us the meaning of

Shukur –  Sh -- shahenshah - King of Kings - GOD

K - karey - whatever God does

R - raazi - happy / peaceful.

A man used to come the church everyday at 12 noon. He was a man wearing tattered clothes. He would pray for 1 minute and go away. The Padri asks him, what prayer do u do as Padriji was worried that he may be coming to steal something. The poor man says I come and pray for 1 minute and say  -- Lord Jesus, this is Jim.

Jim tells the Padri that I come to give my attendance to Lord Jesus at 12 noon. One day Jim meets with an accident and is admitted in the Govt. Hospital. The ward in which Jim was admitted there were other gamblers & rough people who would speak in foul language & nurses would be scared to come to this ward. After somedays the ward atmosphere changes  - nurses ask the other patients and they say that Jim is having so much pain but he keeps saying Shukur. So we are also happy. The nurse asks Jim the secret and Jim says that I have a visitor everyday and I am happy. Nurse says that we have not seen any visitor at your bedside.  Jim says, every day at 12 noon Lord Jesus comes to my bedside to meet me and says - Jim This is Jesus. You used to come to me every day at 12 noon and now that you cannot come, so I have come to meet you everyday at 12 noon. Hence I am very grateful for this experience.

Sada kar shukur!

A farmer came with a bag of fruits and they distributed it to all. The fruits were bitter and everyone spat it out.One devotee was eating it and said that everyday Lord gives us sweet fruits as a gift & 1 day if we get a bitter fruit, why should we not accept it.

A man wanted to commit suicide because his wife would not cook his favourite vegetables. He saw the saying on Sadhu Vaswani's chowk -  Aei dil na kar fikur, kar shukur! He was thrilled and said why am I upset only at food. Then I realised that if I tell my wife not to make a particular food then she will definitely make it and I implemented that idea and it worked.

Saying Shukur (Thanks) doesn't mean that you should be complacent and become lazy, you should put in your best efforts and leave the result to The Lord. This way you will be at peace. A spiritual aspirant must have 4 qualities -  Sabur., Shukur, Dheeraj, Dhyaan

These are 4 weapons of a person aspiring to walk the spiritual path.
