If your "I" is shifting
Your world is shifting
And then you are a helpless leaf
Caught in an angry whirl of mind

Is this not what our lives are like? We are swayed here and there, pulled left and right, confused then clear, happy then angry. There is no unity within – we are leaves in the wind of our silly, little important egos. Can we see that we are such "little" people, without a centre?

But if your "I" will be steady
Your world is steady
Then no powers above and no powers below
Can sway you right or left.

That is beautiful. You are one within. You are resting in your own Swarupa. Nothing can touch you, disturb you. But this can only be when the mind rests in God constantly – meaning NO duality. God is, and You are That.

Then what happens, happens. No reactions – no ego – no haunting desires – no expectations – just a state of silent, living awareness.. And because of that, you cannot be drawn down into anything in which there is not total love, total truth. Such powerful and beautiful words. "No Powers can sway you right or left."

Surrender has taken place God, the "I" within, is guiding you, sustaining you, protecting you. That is it. The little "I" has died – that little "I" does not exist – only THAT (the Higher Self) is.
