You are not the doer of any action here, O Rama; so why do you assume doership? When one alone exists, who dies what and how? Do not become inactive either; for, what is gained by doing nothing? What has to be done, has to be done. Therefore, rest in the Self. Even while doing all the actions natural to you, if you are unattached to those actions, you are truly the non-doer; if you are doing nothing and are attached to that non-doership, you become the doer!
Yoga Vasishta
A man with a balanced mind is happy. He remains unfazed in success or failure as he perceives in them nothing but the discharge of his duty. He performs the appropriate action in the right spirit. In a way, this is perennial success, uniting him to God.
Swami Venkatesananda
Whatever thing is in your heart always, That, you be sure, you shall attain, at last, If rose be in your heart, you’ll be a rose; If nightingale, then that sweet singing bird. You are a part, God is the whole.
