“If we lived, uninterruptedly, by the life of faith, we would be in continual contact with God, and we should speak to Him, face to face.
Faith is the interpreter of God. Faith makes us see the fire of divine charity burning in the midst of the thorns.
Faith alone attains truth without seeing it.”
It is because we do not live in faith that we cannot speak to Him like Moses. I do believe that Moses spoke to God. People today also speak to God, but their faith is total and their surrender is total, in whatever situation they find themselves. Can we do that?
The thorn hurts, but God is giving me these thorns. His Divinity is burning in the midst of it all. So I must say: “Thank you, thank You, thank You,” for this, because this is going to take me straight to Him.
“Faith alone attains.” What is faith? Accepting whatever is in front of us. This is the sacrificial fire that is going to burn out all the “samskaras’. Self-analysis will burn out a little but is the first step. Our faith and acceptance of the situation that we are in, that is going to make a bonfire in our life. Until we surrender – wherever we go, or run, we will never find what we are looking for. You will never be truly happy or at peace. So accept – accept – accept.
The Lord wthin me, you is mighty. The thorns are there but, so are you, I surrender … a child at your feet.
